英語的標點符號與漢語的標點符號在形式上與使用上大同小異。需要注意的地方有如下幾處：

1、英語句號是實心點，而不是小圓圈，如果英語的句號也和漢語一樣，則容易和字母「o」相混淆。

2、英語的省略號「…」是3點，不是像漢語那樣用6點「……」

3、字元號不要寫得太長，寫長了容易跟破折號混淆。其長度應該與一個字母的寬度相當。破折號的長度約占兩個字母的位置。書寫破折號時，與前後的單詞應有一定的距離。
